| Although it is quite apt at the moment, after his superb play in the final and playoffs, for some time I have thought that he is the greatest player I've ever seen in the blue and amber. I know that there will be some opponents to this but my decision is based upon: his ability to read the game and his pure skill, his strength in leadership, his never say die attitude and confidence in big games, his goal and place kicking, how he represents this greatest game of ours, his 100% dedication to the Leeds club and he also seems to be a decent bloke as well.
Sir Kev - I salute you -

| Just had a watch on the highlights on the tube of you, and I didn't realise until Eddie said it in the commentary that Sir Kevin has been flawless with the boot in the play-offs.
21 out of 21.
Cometh the hour....

| Without a shadow of doubt imo it was summed up by Brian Mc in the post match interview which he heard harry Jepson say.
"He may not be the best 6 ,he may not be the best 13 we've ever had but he is certainly the best captain ,Leader and Player in this great clubs history that'll do for me.

37727.jpg And last but not least, to all those people that wrote this team off, to all those people that criticized this team...tonight's for you, thank you.
I'll tell you this now, of all the sportsmen I have ever seen, this guy is the most impressive. Clare Balding 6/10/12:37727.jpg |

| There was originally in the supporters club an official Hall of Fame with matching photgraphs of the successful nominees.
I wonder whats happened to them. They were nominated and paid for I believe by the club members.
Yes Kevin Sinfield is perhaps the greatest Leeds captain of the modern game but lets not lose sight of past heros and their legacy to the greatest RL club IMHO

There's always a lot of subjectivity when making statements like that. For me, put simply, it's not enough to be a good player anymore. To be faster or stronger than the other man. You have to apply yourself to learning not just the craft, but dietetics, plyometrics and history of your opposition. Never have so many people been so fit and strong. Never have collisions torn sinews from bones as they do now. Never before have athletes been so fast and so agile. To achieve what Sinfield has achieved, in the era he has achieved it in, is simply breathtaking, and if you had read a synopsis of his career twenty years ago you'd have dismissed it as fanciful makebelieve.
Sinfield and his team have brought financial security to the club, brought TV revenue, ticket sales, corporate sponsorship, development opportunities for the stadium and training facilities, he has generated a period of unprecedented success fiscally as well as sportingly.
Yes Hetherington has masterminded the admin, and Caddick the funds, but without success on the park. . .
I agree with Harry, best Captain, best player, maybe not, most important in the clubs history. For sure.
