I'm a big fan of Briers but I didn't think he was superb at all today.

He may have had one by now if he hadn't spent most of his career down the boozer with the rest of his drinkin buddies. Apart from the pass for monaghan's ( the fat one) try I thought we did a good job on himm. I thought Myler had a good game for them

I kept thinking to myself... Why the high ball? a simple, well placed grubber would have done the trick most cases...

I didn't think he had a good game at any stage last night. Not once did I think to myself 'briers is having a good game' intact apart from Myler I didn't like any Warrington player.

And why did they persist with kicking at Hardaker, when Ben Jones B had already missed one high ball very early on...surely find a weekness and capitalise on it.

If he could tackle he might be useful. The Ablett v Briers mismatch was almost as ridiculous as Senior v Briers.

To be honest i can see the logic in Warrington putting up the high ball. Give it some hangtime with a good chase and in theory give Hardaker less open space with the ball in hand.

Great cut out pass for the try but apart from that he did a Leon Pryce and went walkabout. They need to replace him now as he badly let his team down on a big stage. Almost like they keep him in the team for sentimental reasons. In 10 years time will their be a decrepit Briers still trying to win his GF ring in his forties?

Myler was outstanding and easily their biggest threat. Hodgeson was his usual brilliant best. Atkins needs to get more involved as he really stepped up in the second half.

Great match and at least there was interest up to the last 5 mins (unlike the CC drubbing).
