Have I got the right person? Mikey rourke (from the wrestler?) playing Thomas. It's says he is going to have both teeth out to look more like him. I wouldn't bother he is never gonna look like him! And re the above I image the cas incident will get more time than needed. Will have to miss this film at the cinema!

| They make a film about Rugby Union (Invictus) and cast a 30 something ish, half believable Matt Damon as central character.
Rugby league get a 58 year old ex drunkard yank to play a 6 foot 3, 36 year old ginger welshman.

I think we'll be lucky if there's much rugby league in it to be honest. Since Thomas' vast majority of his career and his achievements were in Union.
Plus there isn't as big a market for a league based story as there is Union. Lets face it if they did a film about Andy Farrell's life it'd be 80% about his career in Union anyway.

I suspect that will be played up for 'dramtic purposes'.
Does anyone remember 'Bodyline' from a few years back, where the entire crowd is chanting 'b@5tards!' at the English team, and even the ambulence men and police are joining in? I'm reckoning something along those lines. |
