...If Sinfield isn't captain of GB or England in the VERY near future, someone needs shooting. He deserves the international captaincy far more than any other player in Super League. I remember watching him play when he was only a young lad and still studying, and I've seen him mature into the player he is now. Sterling defence, solid attack, always talking, encouraging, and most of all passionate.

Y'know, with all this talk of the salary cap, maybe he'd be happier at Wigan...

A couple of years ago I would have said O'Loughlin was better. I had him tipped for GB Captain (I still do, but I'm not as convinced as I was...)

But I've seen Sinfield's maturity as a player. As Captain, he can talk to the referee and that's absolutely fine. It was people like Jimmy Lowes who moaned at the referee and called him names and all sorts that resulted in the "who talks to the ref" being cast in iron.

A lot of captains moan at the ref. First things first, should the ref do less things to be moaned at for? Like maybe get some decisions right once in a while?

Thought Ganson called it as he saw it. He made the odd minor gaff, but certainly no bias that I could see.

Ganson's performance hasn't been mentioned as an issue by anyone.

Bentham's was obviously the biggest attention seeking moment of his life, but Ganson's performance justified his selection.

Sinfield is similar to Wellens. Very good at club level and incredibly important to his clubs trophy pile, but not up to international level.

No,if you disect his international appearences and then see where he was asked to play he's hardly ever been asked to do the role he does for leeds.

It means you would also need to play McGuire and Burrow.

Its the only way you can get Sinfield operating at international level the same he does at club, other SO and SH's just dont get the way Leeds operate I dont think.

I agree mate that "triangle" works well for leeds and to get the best out of sinfield for england we'd have to play to their strengths imo.

We'd just prefer to know prior to the game starting that the offisde rule wasn't going to be applied for most of the evening.

And whilst we're on about Homer Ganson, why wasn't Cunningham binned for 10 minutes for interference on the tryline .... Might it cause too many problems at breakfast time this morning with his Saints supporting kids, if he'd have shown the yellow ?

I thought that Ganson did ok. Couldn't really tell about offside from our seats, but he seemed to be consistent for me, which is all you can ask for

Those weren't the only set of knees used last night ....

Ganson was fine, let if flow, number of penalties fairly few, not whistle happy like some, all in all good.
