Got some tickets for "The Long Bar" for Friday night? Where abouts is it, what is it?? I can't recall seeing it when Ive been at Headingly? Is it just a corporate bar?Cheers

Its in the Headingley Lodge, go to the right hand side door looking at it from the back - its a nice bar for Irish jig fans.

It's basically the players bar, and is located in the new(ish) East Stand on the cricket side. There's an awful lot of "suits" in there, and if it's the same as previous seasons you'll get to hear an awful Oirish band as well.

You can get really close to the players and stuff.

Not really relevant to this discussion, but you do get a great view of the cricket pitch from in there. I'd really like to watch a days play from there.

you see the players, some will chat. its family friendly, the toilets are nice. you hear the team speeches. the bar is long!

Maybe it's different now but, when Smiffy was the coach, I was always long gone before any of the team made it into the bar ... and I'd usually been there an hour listening to the entire awful repertoire of the so-called-Irish band.

The Hetherington, he was to be spotted jigging to the Irish band as well.
