It can easily be cheated but it would be very difficult for the rfl to pick up, so if it hasn't been caught at the time of signings then it is unlikely to be caught. Not saying Wigan are cheating here though.

Surely if you want to discuss this sensibly, you should also mention/consider what players left or perhaps signed reduced deals?
It wasn't long ago since Leeds "had to be" cheating the salary cap - it goes with being the best side in the comp, other fans can't understand how there can possibly be a team better than theirs. |

Agreed but what we will see at Wigan is quality players leave as there is only so much pie to go around(sorry couldn't help myself) having lots of good kids and winning things brings tough calls on how best to split the cap. Whilst most will want to be loyal the lure for better wedge and game time down under or at other sl clubs will will see a few leave the first team squad and some kids will bypass the Wigan first team all together.
That's the flip side of the cap. |
