Eastwood isn't replaced by another player in the "elite" top 20 though but Donald clearly is hence the only notable departure because he will be replaced from outside the club.

I don't have too much of a problem with that bit. I don't think you have to have played a sport to know what's going on. I mean FFS, Martin Samuels must be one of the highest paid sports journalists in the country (although I may have just shot my own argument down in flames there ).

Good point re-squad number but if we sign an NRL prop and he decides he wants 26 or some other shirt number that adds up to 8 or 10 he'll still be in the top 20 "elite" in terms of salary cap.
