Quote: Juan Cornetto "Well done Leeds. Considering we went into the game with no form at all and we lost Sinfield early (our most creative player) we really stuck at it could have won. We had no favours from the ref whose interpretation of laying on in the tackle was inconsistent. He allowed Storm far more time in the tackle and also let them get away with consistent offside.
Sky' s commentary and summing up was way off. Storm did not outplay Leeds. It was a case of Leeds losing the game rather than Storm winning it. We created the most try scoring chances and Watkins's poor finishing was very dissappointing and cost us the match.'"
Absolutely, we had the chances and didn't take them. Watkins cant be blamed but IMO if Donald plays Leeds score both and probably win the game. Quinn went in for the last try with both hands on the ball, Watkins went one handed and the lost control. Still he's only young and it's all experience for the lad, just hope he learns the lessons.
All there points were from our indiscipline and errors. Ali's play the ball was shocking, Senior should have kept his mouth shut but they still have to convert the chances so well done to the Storm. The ref was shocking aswell, why change how he ref's SL games?
We look clueless in attack alot of the time, Burrow was putting cross field kicks in that their wingers were catching in goal, Slater was taking every bomb, we didn't know what else to do and it was frustrating, we didn't try and build pressure whereas they were making sure they tried getting repeat sets if they didn't score. Get back to SL now and make sure we are playing the WCC again next year. Hope Sinfield isn't too bad.
