| with the visas as they are here in the UK the french outfit look set to sign these two after their deals with bulls and hull fc have fallen through.
this got me thinking - SL is not equal we are not all playign within the same boundries. also with the salary cap is Catalnas based on Euros or £ and how does the current exchange rate affect them. do they receive the betterment or have they a set limit in Euros based on an average exchange rate.
plus how can they head into a SL seaosn with a) with 2 quota spaces left and b) cap space for 2 top class aussies?
thoughts?

On the flip side, they have a much smaller pool of federation-trained players to select from than the English clubs.

Not sure how it works, but I'd assume it is the Euro equivalent of the pound at a certain point in time. It would have put them at a massive disadvantage this year if this is the case.

As the team is officially based in France, they come under their employment laws, so the visa would only apply to that country. I suppose it's like the Aussie team touring the UK.

www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/s ... 21,00.html FORMER NRL star Greg Bird was "the victim" when he allegedly assaulted a young woman in a Cronulla nightclub, Sutherland Local Court heard yesterday.
The 25-year-old, who on Thursday flew in from France where he is playing for the Catalans rugby league team, had his one common assault charge upgraded to five charges but believes the evidence of three security guards and security video will clear him.
"Three security officers are able not only to give evidence, but to give evidence to the effect that he was the victim in this matter," his solicitor Patrick Conaghan told the court.
