Obviously the big two from the night were dropping too much ball in their red zone was a big key.. If we had kept hold of those balls we could have won 2 other matches besides that!

Other.. penalties.. How many 3-4th tackle penalties did we give away? Very poor and to give a penalty away when you have the ball in hand is criminal..

Also tonight highlighted that how much more effective playing to structure is than playing the off the cuff plays. They didn't play anything fancy they just stuck in the arm wrestle and waited for our mistakes (Testiment to SL coaching). They are full of players such as tonks, dickens, dale, grayshon who are WILLING and WANT TO bring the ball out of yardage whereas we only seem to have Rob Worrincy who is willing to do this.. All our players come alive in good ball but that is not good enough at this level...

All in all though I felt the second half defensive effort was encouraging defending up the slope...

Considering we let in 28 going up the slope and only 18 going down the slope (1 of those a gift from Franks poor handling) I feel that is encouraging.

Sadly the highlight for me was Aizue blattering their one of very many lightweights.

Blacky looked clever but not backed up by a single like-
Minded player and penks plain insane at times.

Nonetheless, let us draw a line under a decent effort against a well drilled yet very beatable side with a decimated team and makeshift side AWAY FROM HOME.

and Moyles is still an annoying big headed tool with the voice of a dog licking its own . Up yours you talentless Jabba the hut look a like.

It's a very fine line between success and failure, Urban. I thought we were well on top the first 15 miniutes, but didn't get the rub, a couple of 50:50s went against us (Franky's penalty for pulling the tackler down followed by Osticks knock on led to a daft try) ... we could so easy been up 12 nil after 15 but were 12 down after 30.

Then we threw it around in the 2nd, but Powell obviously said "Play it cool and boring, absorb it, frustrate them, it's tough coming back 12 down up the slope" ... it's their own back yard FFS, they know how to play it. 46-16 extremely flattered Fev, but they deserved to win mainly because of our poor defence in the 2nd quarter.

Excellent effort, but bad rub of the green and moments of poor tackling. Not to mention Hicks' worst game I've seen for some time (he used to be awful a couple of years ago but has improved dramatically since).

The defence is shocking especially one-on-one. Calland has built a side which aims to beat teams simply by scoring more than the opposition i.e. it is purely based on offensive play. Come up against a good, solid defence and they have no chance.

Yeah, a very beatable side, who Fax have now lost to 3 times this season..........

most of the missed tackles tonight resulted in fev trys, not many teams would be good enough to do that.

We beat Barrow by playing the game on the fringes and not down the middle, a tactic that never got off the ground today as Nash was completely owned and made to look daft!

Fev are a good team but so BORING!!!

TBH, it never gets boring hearing 'very beatable side', of course we are, 4 clubs have found out how.

Boring? no, structured, yes. throw the ball around till they get knackered and then fall of tackles, no, but if you call that 'entertaining rugby' then fair play to you.
