| as i work for the club on match days over the last couple of weeks ive been getting emails wanting to know whats going on at the club, a couple of nasty ones aswell, dont know what it as to do with me as am only kit man and water person,if there was anything going on i would not be putting it on here or answering to emails, what happens at the club stops at the club, i was really tempted to post the nasty emails, but then thought whats the point,
then i got a email yesterday from a fax fan, he does post on the forums, but am not going to add his name to this, what i am going to do is post his email,
Sean,
As I know that you have contact with the players i would be grateful if you could pass on this message of support to them either verbally or printed off.
A lot of crap has been said over the past few weeks and a lot of stupid comments by ill-informed people who are the minority not the majority which I hope the players have taken no notice to.
I hope the players don't think badly of us supporters who give them 100% backing because of a few mindless numpties that can't handle their beer or handle the occasional loss and hope that each player knows that we are all still behind them and are proud of the way we have played and hopefully into the play offs for a good run.
Whatever the result Thursday night this is a message of support, not just from me but many others who feel that the players should be let to know that we are still behind them and support them through all ups and downs.
Cheers bud..
let everybody follow his example and get behind the lads,
this will be passed on to the lads

| Thats a very nice e-mail however Sean it doesn't make someone not a true fan for asking the question.
Fair enough if you choose not to answer because you are involved, but people ask because they are concerned and are true fans. After all we all care about the club so i don't think we should start qualifying who is a true fan and who isn't.
I asked you a question also because we used to stand together, does not that mean i'm not a true fan? I was concerned like many others thats all.

Fans are The Customer and as such have a right to know what is going on, the fact that some know you are involved is probably a "way in" for them and the reason you would have received e-mails.
If the customer hears rumours then they would surely have concerns enough to find out if there is any substance to the rumours, and we all know the "no smoke without fire" addage.
A lot of what was written was written with passion and with the defeat still hurting.
I am sure that those who voiced opinons on here, good or bad, will be at Batley and will cheer the team on 100% I know I will.
Come on you Blues......

Being a 'customer' gives you no 'rights' other than to stop being a customer.
If you don't like what (you believe) is going on or the way the Club chooses to conduct its business then don't buy any more of the 'product'. It's pretty simple.
If they lose you as a customer it's up to them whether to change the way they do things in an attempt to attract you back or not.

| Let me just say that I agree that we should get behind the team and from now on I will however certain players have showed lack of respect towards the fans 1 player especially who shall not be named on here as I will be having a quiet word with the bored over the matter. If any player shows lack of respect for any fans then why should the fans who are the paying custermers show them respect. True some of us may be not be able to take our drink and as such do things others may not agree with however we are the 1s who are there week in week out and have been for the last 20 years with very little to chher about. However I do not agree with people from the club been sent nasty e-mails these people are people I have alot of respect for. Nuff said

| I think people just wanted to know how we could go from the best record in the league to the second worst in league, and as for other posts which said we could stop being customers if we want, and come back if we want, thats not a great business plan.
Maybe Ball, Hall and Calland are a little inexperienced in what they should and shouldn't say post match and in in the papers, high profile sports figures are easy targets, people watch there every move, read every quote. I can remember Ross Strudwick saying we won the second half against Fev after they walloped us many years back, the quote never left him and he didn't last much longer after that, part of coaching is man management and the public facing tasks, I'll give Matt the benefit of the doubt here, he will have to learn fast or bring some silverware to the club though to truly restore ambitions and fulfil his own potential and that of the club, they both have it in abundance by the way, but its upto them.
We have the talent, but do we have the ambition. determination and dedication, i hope so, you only live once. Wining always feels better, and the victory pint goes down much sweeter

You are right that the customer has the right to take their custom elsewhere (lets hope that they dont just do that) but they also have the right to find out what is happening so that they have a full picture so they can make an informed decision as to whether to take their custom elsewhere.
Obviously being a fan of a club is more to the heart than the head, where their custom lies, and it is not easy to withdraw custom and take it elsewhere, unless you are a glory supporter.
But its wrong to think that the supporter should shut up and put up, if they believe something is happening behind the scenes.
Like I said most of the posters on here are full supporters and will be at Batley tomorow night.

Totally disagree. The sporting club which you love and support is much more than just a company offering you a service. To some it is a way of life and much more than just attending a game once a week.
If you shop somewhere and aint happy with what they are offering, yes you go elsewhere for your goods. However, you dont suddenly start supporting some other club because you arent happy with the product or how you are treat as a "customer".
Yes, professional sporting clubs far too often view the supporters as "customers" and this is where they usually go wrong.

Here Here (document waving ala House of Commons)
Cut is in half and were blue and white throughout our lives, i tire of cliches to try and explain this but Bubbas done it perfectly, seconded by your good self and motion supported by a fellow sports fan of Halifax here.

| Apologies. It appears my post reads in a different way than it was meant.
No-one has 'the right' to be told anything is very simply what I meant - it's a privately owned club and therefore the sole business of the owners - although obviously I know that's an extreme and not the stance that would be taken by any owners sensible enough to want to keep their customers.
And of course I know supporting a club is an emotion and not the same as being a regular at Tesco.
I'd be interested to know what particular chip lmw has on his(?) shoulder though. At the time '[ithis[/i' happened? What's '[ithis[/i' ?
