If you can just excuse my mates terminal idiocy for a mo... He is correct on that issue of choking. We may well lose on Sunday. .. but this year it was fax that 'choked'. Yes I accept as far as the championship is concerned Sunday's game is priority, but in real terms the game that mattered was 3 weeks ago. Fax on this occasion choked.

Really should have been league leaders going up this year. The championship will be very competitive and needs the most consistently good champ 1 team promoting not the best cup team. I know it will be grand final winners in future but this season the team going up is being promoted above 5 teams.

As unlikely as it is, its still possible for fifth place to be promoted in to a league they wont be anywhere near ready for.

But if the RFL changed it for this year only then somebody(you know who you are) might then hark back to it as a precedent being set and then all sorts of chaos may ensue.
