my laptop wwas stolen and i bought another and wish to transfer my music on my ipod to my new pc. all the file sharing things i've tried such as share pod let you transfer so many then stop as you have to buy the programme. can anyone recommend a free programme thats simple to use please that transfers all your songs over.

If I sync it with an empty itunes I lose everything. Needs some kind of file sharing programme

You can use the iPod as a hard drive in some cases depending on what model you own. I used to effectively swap between my home and work computer.
