Just found out that the Gateshead v Oldham cup game will be held at Darlington arena. Has anyone made any plans to attend.

I am almost certainly going as it is a few miles away and will be a Gateshead fan for the day, but only so that you can draw Warrington away in the quarters.

It's a bold move indeed taking the game to Darlington. I hope it's very well marketed otherwise Darlington Arena with 400 fans in make look a little poor. On a bright note it does show some flair!

The move was pretty much forced on the club with the stadium completely unavailable due to football and athletics, but fair play they found somewhere that is an untapped rugby league area.

Marketing is key; I'd love to know how people found out about it, would give the club an idea of what publicity is working.

I hope that as many Thunder, Oldham, rugby league fans and new supporters will come across for the day.

Trying to sort out a few of us to sample the Darlo hostelries pre match if anyone fancies joining us. Will sort a pub out and post on here.... Luckily I know Darlo town centre quite well so pub will be fairly central before heading up to the Copper Beech not far from the Arena

There is the Bridge Inn near by in stapleton if anyone want a pre match super sized meal
