We only lost 6 games last season with tonights lost thats 4 defeats in 7 with an almost certain defeat away to bradford next sunday we cant afford to lose against dewsbury on monday otherwise we are looking at 6 loses out of 9 thats relegation form !! and last year halifax the 4th place team lost 7 games I know its if and buts I would say if we lose both our next 2 matches thats it our top 4 hopes are gone

Couldn't agree more. Interesting to note that 4 Flatcappers played for us last season. Did the club go full time too soon? I would have preferred to have the new stadium (if it ever happens) built first. This peripatetic existence that the club has had over the last 4 seasons is surely holding it back..

In what way, GB ? Clearly the Board were confident of financing a full time playing staff. The games we lost have come after that decision.

And after half a dozen games I'm much happier with the players we have from last season's sheffield team.
Sharpy has recruited well on a very limited budget.

But if we dont make the top 4 this season can we afford to keep the players full time next season on low attendances? Hopefully when the decision was made to go full time funds were but in place to enable us to continue to be a full time squad for the next 2 or 3 seasons however if it was based on getting top 4 prize money every year we could be in trouble and might have to go back to part time
