York deserved to win that to be quite honest! 18-14 down with 3 left and they could have been further ahead at that point, try under the posts and conversion on 77 and Menzie's 79th minute try sealed it. 24-18, felt sorry for York as they were the better team throughout the 80. Felt a bit uneasy, a win is a win though, the Eagles have to perform better next weekend though. Not convincing at all.

Not vintage but I expected nothing less, first run out for most players for the best part of 5 months. Good to blow some cobwebs off and the win is a bonus. I'm sure we'll be sharper next week!

Easy ground to get to, good view from the terrace, great away support. York's lunatics appeared to be out in full force . The Eagles appeared to get the better of the referee's decisions at times, several decisions in the last 15 could have easily gone York's way. York look like they'll be huge contenders in their league next season, they were a lot better than what they were at Castleford 3 weeks ago. Closer game than many expected I think, they'll take a lot from it, Eagles had a bit more power in the end.
