I expect us to win, but the margin depends on just how many Warrington players they pick! Hopefully the defence stays as solid as it has been and the attack will start to click.

This is becoming quite boring but here we go......Swinton lost 10 players last season. some to 'Better' clubs such as Armstrong to yourselves and players to London, Halifax and leigh. 3 other first teamers took up work opportunities in Australia and a number retired due to age or work commitments. We have therefore taken on deals for one year (same as all our other players) 6 of the warrington under 23s who, due the restructure if the super league were no longer eligible to play for the unders and were surplus to the requirements of the first team. In addition we signed on the remaining players from the previous year and a few new players such as ballard from barrow and Barlow from Halifax.

All of the above is nothing to do with the dual registration system though is clearly a direct link to our partnership with warrington. Under DR we have borrowed 3-4 players for each match this season (less than many others - York had 5 last week). Woods, McCarthy and laithwaite then o'brien McCarthy dwyer and laithwaite last week.

As o'brien has gone to cas for a month and woods and McCarthy look to have made the first team then the swinton team for this week is pretty easy to predict should Ashton/Aston actually be bothered Only problem he may have is predicting stand off as ianson broke a finger pre season...

Anyway good luck for Sunday, you should run out comfortable winners....but I hope not.

warrington first team players/internationals - how does it fit in your salary cap - we all know you have no brass ???

You know that for certain do you....after all we have spare capacity in the budget due to the players who have left as has been explained to you and quite well in my opinion. Good grief how much do you think these kids were on at Warrington, get a grip.

Also every one of them who have signed were given the option to sign for us or go else where.

I think I was talking about the Super league players and internationals - who pays them - no doubt the kids aren't going to bother your salary cap -thats what we all though duel reg was about, not giving super league teams the opportunity to run a reserve side in the championship! But if thats what you want to support !!!!

Generally, the $uperleague side continues to pay their contract. That's why DR is so attractive to cash-strapped, struggling clubs.
