The thing is anybody can spend above there means then be succesful but then go bust,The punishments are too lenient,Like Rangers in football,they need to start relegating teams or they just go into admin but then start again in the same division and get away with it,Other teams who are run properly but not big clubs need to be given a chance when these so called giants of the game are living above there means,Without promotion theyve got there cosy slot in super league and it's still spend at all costs for succes,More english players were supposed to come through with no promotion/relegation,What's happened still the same amount of journeymen aussies and a win the league at all cost mentality,Makes my phiss boil.It was supposed to make the game better,It hasn't,it has gone backwards more than forwards IMO.

Who's getting punished at Rangers ? The bloke that caused it has gone. The turkeys have voted for Christmas and lost a boat load of tv money. The people that will bear the brunt of it are probably going to be part time players at Div 2 or 3 clubs, taking wage cuts that they can ill afford.

As you imply - it's difficult. Obviously CW must be out of the game for ever - not that anyone would touch him with a bargepole anyway. Short of making directors personally responsible for the club's debts, I don't see what can be done. There's only so much policing of borrowing that the governing bodies can do. The stocks ? That should be fun - as well as a bit of a deterrent.

Point I was making was that relegating Rangers does not, imho, create a winner. Everyone loses.

I know what your saying but i think by relegating a club (even if money for a short term is lost) like rangers,a big club,shows the league as a whole that you can't mismanage a club and win at all costs then go bust and just start again,If Bradford for example were made to start in the bottom division,It would send a clear message that if you do live above your means there is a severe punishment.The clubs would soon tighten there belts IMO,If there's no punishment the clubs/directors will just carryon the win at all costs moneywise mentality.We need more stricter penalties for directors and the clubs involved if found mismanaged.
