Quote: Che "Only one of the first team squad of 33 (Paul Hyder) who is recovering from injury played in this game.
The reserves fielded 20 players plus had 3 who were unable to play due to squad sizes being limited to 20 by the RLC.
Skolars probably started a month late for reserves training and struggled for numbers for the pre-season games.
Every club goes through periods where they struggle for numbers and I can recall times when most of the clubs north of the river have experienced difficulties.
The reserves at Skolars are currently in great health, with a squad of 25+ players, a great coaching staffof Rubert Jonker and Mario Du Toit who are unable to play for the first team due to visa reasons but have chosen to stay at the Skolars.'"
I though that Rubert got a new visa after he got married a couple of years ago as he needed this to continue teaching. And Mario has been living in th UK for over 7 years or more so he would surely have a resident visa??
This visa issue is such a problem but there is always a way to get around it with some creative thinking.
Glad to the reserves get up as once again the Preimer league will be strong as West London, South London, St Albans and even Ipswich starting off well.
