| Considering there was no advertising of the match in the local and surrounding area WHATSOEVER, it wasnt too bad and the atmosphere was better than some RL matches with crowds 10 times the size. I hope some of the curious locals that turned up will come and watch more RL here either with the Scorpions or the Cru.
Some of us down here still care what goes on in Wrexham and Rugby League in Wales in general, the development is still all based down here. It was nice to see and speak to a few Gogs today and hear them enthuse about the club the way I used to about CC. I have changed my mind and hope more SL games are played down here in the future, eventually that SL team might be the South Wales Scorpions.

| 1,495... is a joke to be honest.
Harlequins will bring the same 15 fans whether in Wrexham, Neath or St Albans...
stick with Wrexham for heaven's sake.

Quins brought over 300 to brigend last year...though I do agree about sticking with wrexham. If it's played at the gnoll you may see a sub 1,000 turn out for a SL game....oh how the flat earth lot will love that

I'm sure all Welsh calculators are defective.
I'm almost certain someone said on an older thread about 10,000 tickets had been sold for one of the Crusaders home fixtures at Wrexham... yet only 6,000 turned up....think it was the Wigan fixture?
Appararently this was because 'it was a nice day and 4,000 people were having BBQ's instead so they didnt bother turning up'
It must have been a nice day in South Wales as well.... clearly 1,000 didnt bother turning up yesterday either

Think there was a lower one...sub 1000...I am sure someone will have the figures and game to hand.
1,276 was the gate for Halifax v London in 2003 BTW......and I fear for the attendance for Crusaders v Quins this year

| Was anyone actually EXPECTING a high turnout at Neath? Apart from the dozen or so people from S Wales who post here, when the Wrexham ANZACS chased the "big bucks" in NewportsorrynowitsWrexham they p i s s e d off such RL fans as had grown in S Wales.
We should welcome them back with open arms maybe? BISER MON POSTERIEUR as Les Cats might say.
And really, is 1495 such a low crowd? Even in the mighty Rugby League heartlands of Wrexham they are getting attendances only 50% higher and that's with a great rugby league team playing on their doorstep week in week out. (Widnes Vikings).
I mean I'm sure the Crusaders' S Wales dhimmis that post on here will have a little bitch and a moan and try and spin this as bitterness. But facts is facts. South Wales (excepting the dorky dozen) don't give a fark about the Wrexham ANZACS. So don't b i t c h at us for not turning up to watch a team that is nothing to do with us. WE (except the 12) DO NOT WANT YOU. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. It seems neither do Wrexham after the first few matches, but THAT'S not our problem either.

| Oh and I agree with CRUSADERS FOREVER. Had the match been played in Wrexham, the attendance would have been AT LEAST 2,300. Taking out the 1st 3 games, the average attendance in the RL heartlands that is Wrexham is what? 3,500? FAR higher than the 3,250 the Celtic Crusaders used to get.

We'll give you a boost in a couple of weeks' time.
You're about the same as Quins then.
