This is the one!!! must win.

Lose and the pressure going to Leeds (regardless of who they may or may not rest) will be too great for a side that has been at best fragile on its travels.

www.catalansdragons.com/en/artic ... the-stats/

Here are the stats... you wont be surprised to see that they are less free scoring but a lot tighter defensively.

Could be close this.

Relying on home form to see us through. Got to make the eight. Anything else is a disaster.

Should be a tough game. Giants need to win if they want a top 4 spot at the split.

Ferres back and smith an improvement at 4th prop. Wardle probably from SR back to centre and maybe Murphy to the wing. Gives us more strike and should tighten up our defence.

Roll on Saturday.

The squad is about as strong as we can muster at this stage of the season with the injury position...

Vincent Duport, Zeb Taia, Thomas Bosc, Stan Robin, Willie Tonga and Michael Oldfield are all absent with injury from the Catalans squad.

Frayssinous has made one change to his 19-man squad for this game against the Giants.

Olivier Elima comes in for Fouad Yaha, injured, as the only change to last week's 19-man squad.

The squad

1 Morgan Escaré
3 Ben Pomeroy
6 Todd Carney
7 Scott Dureau
8 Olivier Elima
9 Ian Henderson
10 Rémi Casty
12 Louis Anderson
13 Greg Mounis
15 Jeff Lima
16 Eloi Pelissier
17 Elliott Whitehead
18 Ben Garcia
21 Julian Bousquet
24 Jason Baitieri
28 Tony Gigot
29 Thibaut Margalet
30 Krisnan Inu
31 Jordan Sigismeau'"

Anybody know what is up with Zeb? No one has actually said what his injury is.

I do not think Cobb is dishonest. if there is evidence he should put up or shut up.

I think the standard of refereeing at Catalans home games has improved since all these have been broadcast live.

Agreed the standard of refereeing has improved at Catalan, in the past the ref would have given in to the very partisan crowd so I say well done to Mr Cobb for sticking to what he believes is the correct decision.

He had no decision to make, thanks to an inept display by the linesman who chose to ignore the most blatant forward pass seen on television this season, it was even worse than the one at MM where once again Les cats were robbed.

I agree about the ref making poor decisions. Henderson should have been penalised several times for various offences, not least preventing a quick play the ball by lying or standing in the way.

Despite this I hope Ken Davy does not suggest referees are dishonest.

I doubt Mr Davey would say anything like that, even if he thought it, he seems too much of a gentleman, but it's understandable that their chairman has let his emotions over run his brain, he will no doubt have conveniently forgot about Castlefords disallowed try where there was no conclusive proof either way, but against the Giants both yesterday and in Newcastle and with the same tryscorer both passes were so unbelievably forward it was impossible to miss them, not to mention Thaler allowing the Giants team to encroach their kicker when taking an important kick at goal, so he probably see's it as 3 points lost which could have a defining impact on their season, but your inference is right he should not have said it and I'm sure he will finish up regretting it from a financial point of view.

I didn't see Cobb knock-on once and that was a far bigger issue than anything else. Total lack of discipline, total lack of respect for possession. Absolute rubbish, and yet barring something ridiculous happening, we'll make the top eight.
The Dragons official twitterer must get bored typing 'ballon perdu' time after time after time.
