Arriere, does that mean backline or back row? The term explosive suggests the latter, while it's great to get a young french player on the books (hopefully not breaking him like Walters did) we could really use an explosive french centre/wing/fb/so, much more than ANOTHER world class backrow forward.

I read the name in the paper a week ago - didn't memorise it - Rachid rings a bell - not sure about the last name - paper said he was a centre.

Found the paper in the recycle bin at work today - this is the guy. Has been in Cessnock for a week. Will trial for the Knights reserve grade on Friday, along with 20 or so others.

Exciting stuff. It's been a mantra round here for some time that we need to get more French players out to NRL and SL clubs.

It seems pretty unlikely that he will get a spot in the Knights reserves.
The trial on Friday night will see the fringe firstgraders in the Knights squad play against the best players from the Newcastle comp, and about 10 or 12 players will get a call up to cover for injuries over the season, with 2 or 3 playing most games, but dozens of guys have been training for those positions and this guy has just arrived.
