Is the new Chester side in Div 6 anything to do with Chester Gladiators who play in the Summer Conference & NW Merit League?

Division 4 looks tasty, glad we went up. Local derbies for us with Waterhead, Saddleworth and the big fixtures against Rochdale Mayfield should be a ball!!!!!

Hindley too, thought they may go up a few divisions but hey it makes our season more fun…always close games between Rochdale Cobras and Hindley.



Don’t know much about other sides….used to play Bamber Bridge in my Milnrow days about 7 or 8 years ago...good games!!! and Cobras played Leigh Central in a cup game in our 1st season, we got spanked

SpringView are in 3.....and we were in 3 last year.

That is a blinder of a league....no easy games for anyone!

...Shame about TWO Cumbria trips. One would have done.

A seperate entity but a lot of the lads from Gladiators will be playing for them and the guys behind it are also involved at Gladiators. The new club was set up to stop lads switching to RU or football.

Gladiators will remain a summer focused club.

Some strong looking leagues for next year, though there are some weird promotions/relegations/reprieves...

Langworthy and Blackpool Stanley won 1 game between them last year yet both have been saved whilst teams who got alot more points have been relegated, Widnes St Maries finished 3rd in Div 2 last year yet are in Div 3 this year? Whats that about?? Will be interesting to see how many Div 6 games get canned for one reason or another next year, what with it being mainly the 'A' league

presume you've picked up some of the Ellesmere Port lads? Were there many at Wirral who wanted to play winter RL I wonder?

i would assume that team like maires have dropped as they have requested to do so. This would go for other clubs who have also dropped, which in turn will have save teams like Langworthy from going down.

there does seem an awful lot of it this year, more than normal but its certainly created a great set of divisions.

Think reason that Saddleworth were relegated and Hindpool and Langworthy werent is because Saddleworth forfeited 3/4 games.

Yeh they did, Saddleworth threw quite a few...also Blackbrook A & Moss Bank are no longer around that were in 3 last year.



Based on the influx of ex New Springs lads now at SV....I can see why you'd be easily listaken...we are unofficially known as New Springs View!

good luck for the season spring view my money is on you men. and spank widnes st maries for us watch out for 1st teamers. they were relegated because the also concede 2 fixtures last year thats why they in 3rd div.

Good luck in division 2 West Bank that looks like a great league. From what people are saying round these parts Dalton dont appear to be as strong as last season. As for Askam I cant see them picking up many wins at all, think they could be a league or 2 above themselves. They are a really young side but very keen. Think they were hoping to get some players back from their NCL days but so far they have only got 1 or 2 back.

Blackbrook A are in Division 6 this year!!

They folded after only be able to fulful a handful of games last year in div 3.

which teams are in the nwc premier and division 1?

Any thoughts on who'll win division 4 , not seen promoted hindley but i believe there a good side and Leyland will do well with all there different ringers from one week to the next.

Hindley will be up there. Not the biggest, most physical or most aggressive side, but more importantly they're very well drilled and slick on the ball; they'll hit it at pace and have pace to finish in the backs and several forwards. Their defence is also well drilled and doesn't make many bad decisions. Only lost 1 game and the most they conceded in a game all year was 20 points. They're a young side but will be better for another year together.

Rochdale can be up and down - their first choice team will be hard to beat, a big side and hard to stop, but they seem to have some players who vanish for periods of the season (apparently the Fijians disappear for weeks on end!).

The fijians may disappear, but when they show up, christ they show up!!! Ripped us to bits last year!

Roll on the friendly with Bury a week on Saturday and the big kick off 2 weeks after that at their place

The big gangly piece of granite who played at Rochdale (Netani Suka) has gone back to Aus.
