Left leigh stating he wants to finish his career in super league. Personally thought whenever i saw him playing for leigh this season he looked a real handful obviously most are of the opinion he's the devil incarnate. ..thoughts?

I don't think he'd be a particularly good fit for us, but wouldn't be surprised if he gets a final SL gig on the other side of the Pennines. Back at Salford or Widnes perhaps, if his price is right.

Would take him on a 1 year deal on low wages if he would take them. Still got a good engine and is a rough n ready 2nd rower everyone is shouting for.

We signed Kelly, we would have signed Hardaker if we had not been relegated. We signed Walker, forgave him and then wanted him to stay.

And we would have signed Hock a couple of years ago if he had not turned us down.

Really the 'fit' is that bad boys were bad somewhere else.

Gareth Hock seemed to have matured significantly during his time with us. As our owner says, our slide in form probably coincided with his increasingly lengthy injury absences. Now any player can suffer those, but his age is against him. Nevertheless, you could do worse that a one year deal. (like with some of our other 'cast offs' for instance!) He has recently set up in business with Danny Tickle, so I suspect he would want a deal on the 'good' side of the Pennines though.

He's hardly a cast off when it was his decision to leave.

I agree, and talking to Cookie he firmly believes if Hock had remained fit and healthy Leigh would have avoided the drop. Of course, the issue is his temperament not ability. On form he can destroy teams and when he loses it he is a liability. IMO I think Rovers back row needs someone like Hock, who will compliment Lawler's uncompromising style.

Sorry for misleading - it's some of the others i was attempting to describe as cast-offs. Hock left because he wants another year (or two) in SL. Can't blame him for that, and I wish him good luck.

We need aggressive forwards, but think this penalty machine could be a liability. i don't think we should be interested in any Leigh player. (my opinion).
