Sheens says the right things and I believe his training and tactics are as good as any coach. The problem lies when the players go on the field and then do exact opposite of what has been practiced all week. The refusal of penalty kick looks bad judgement after the event but a canny half would have been putting the ball out,slowing the momentum the other team had built.lots of mistakes and dropped ball,pressure we put on ourselves and no one on the pitch had ability to change things.Lunt apart we don't have a lot of brains on the pitch

This league leaders shield papers over the cracks thats all, i think we'll struggle against the super league teams, were that used to playing well for 20 minutes and that being enough but its not going to be enough against S/L.
Intensity, Aggression, game managent all lacking and thats been a problem for a few seasons now. I still find it hard to believe Sheens is still tinkering at this stage of the season, we should have been going into the 8's looking for consistency and form IMO.

As is to be expected with 2-3 bigger name players announced this week and much of the squad out of contract some players will be unhappy - let's face it Masoe's fee per game will be more than most of the squad get in a three months but you get what you pay for. Sheens simply needs to manage the fact that average players that have done a job at this level so far have to be sidelined for the final games. Difficult but we need to ruthless. Eggs and omelettes. A side with Carney, Masoe, Lunt, Quinlan and co plus further additions will be too much for both Leigh and Widnes.

Take the Leg is right unfortunately, we have got away with it this season because it is a poor quality league. Did,nt think at the start of the season i would be saying we missed Abdull...today we did, big time. No game management, we gave them 18pts. What the fku was Butler Fleming thinking, trying to offload in a gang tackle on his own line, cost us a win at fev with his loose carry out of defence. Atkins is the first specialist half we have had this season. I would try him alongside Quinlan and have Moss at fullback, Abdull at loose...imo. Oh to have Albert back...Oh hang on a minute, maybe not.

I'm as guilty of it as any but maybe we are over reacting to a home loss?They had to win and I'm not convinced our lads gave today's game the respect it was due,or maybe they did? I felt that way about him in half's but not 13. I don't think you even believe what you wrote there? It's the bottom 4 of superleague and he has already proved he can operate at that level in seasons past

I mean he isn't physically up to playing as a middle against SL opposition. He'll get spotted in defence constantly. We're playing sika manu as 13 and he gets battered
