FC Finally Win At Wembley in an Absolute ClassicOne of the biggest afternoons of the season saw Hull FC take on the Warrington Wolves at Wembley in the much anticipated 2016 Challenge Cup Final.
It was Super League's top side against the one placed second, the top two sides in the country at the moment. With the bookies finding it a difficult one to call, the stage was set for an absolute classic.
Warrington have won the Challenge Cup on eight occasions, the most recent in 2012, with Hull FC having picked up the famous silverware on three occasions with the most recent being in 2005 when the final was held in Cardiff. Most notably, FC had never won at Wembley.

| Strong performance against a good Warrington side - typified many of the things that have been most impressive about Hull FC's team this year.

Nah.They were very poor earlier on in the season, given the team on paper they should be where they are now.One things for sure, take Sneyd out and they return to being poor.

| Someone won the challenge cup? That's interesting. Can we get back on with the league now please?
On a lighter note....any replacement lyric suggestions?

Old Faithful, we're gonna blame Kurt Gidley
Old Faithful, how did he miss that pent'ly?
Did many Rovers fans really care, or did they sing it more because they thought Hull fans did?
If winning it there makes it sweeter for them that's neither here nor there to me.
What's embittering is me is their power, structure, tenacity, and, more than that, our relative lack thereof.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Yep, congratulations to them. The only thing we should be angry about is that they are better than us.
I'll be honest, my Mum was over at Secret Lair v.2 today and after I had made her and Mr. David (current husband) an amazing lunch we tuned in to watch a little of the game. My Mum is from West Hull... There, I've said it. I don't feel good. I feel dirty.
She cheered for Hull at one point today, I had to remind her where her car was parked and that she was free to leave at any time.

valid points.i certainty didn't want them to win but they did fair and square.not going to waste any time and energy bemoaning it as like you say Leigh is a massive game in our season.i ain't fussed about losing the song thing, wish both teams would lose the daft go get your father's gun one while we having a cull.
