| Have watched both the Saints and Wigan games in WCS. Given that they are friendlies, they have been remarkably one sided. The Aussie sides are not even up to match fitness too.
Saints were totally outclassed by a superb and clinical Roosters side, despite the pathetic attempts by Cunningham to mask a poor performance with some Chezzie style positive spin.
By comparison, Wigan gave it a real good go, but that Brisbane side were playing at another level of defensive discipline and intensity as well as attacking speed and ruthlessness. Wigan were poor in the halves, especially George Williams who looks way below par this season.
If that is an example of how a Wayne Bennett side plays, England are in with a top shout for the next World Cup. A masterclass in shutting Wigan down.
I would love it if Rovers could defend like that. Hours of painstaking practice required.
Finally, I don't fancy Leeds chances against a full Strength Cowboys side tomorrow night.

| As well as the Aussie teams have played, both Wigan and Saints have been rubbish. Lack of forward power, regardless of what Cunningham says, lack of creativity, no game management.

| Bennet has a philosophy about defense, forget all this wrestling crap and just concentrate on tackling hard in pairs and line speed! Says it all about those that think teams need to have a wrestling coach. As I said a few months ago, SL just doesn't have the week in week out intensity about it. NRL moves forward every year thanks to the funding and exposure it gets in the press over here. SL will never match that.

| We need to increase the number of people playing the game. Aus have so many people competing to play at the highest level. We need to scrap the quota in the medium term. We should take a chunk of money from the clubs sky money and plough it into grass roots to get more kids playing. This should after a few years filter through to the clubs. We should also at a minimum set thee salary cap to the same as the NRL.
