A reduction to 8 interchanges will bury the idea of having a 10 minute prop on any pro RL pitch as you simply wont be able to cover the interchanges he will need unless the rest of your team play LOOONG minutes.

It will certainly force 80 minute 2nd rowers. 4 props interchanging on 20 minutes and 60 minutes and 2 hooker interchanges will only leave 2 for injuries etc.

Which will stop the effectiveness of the likes of Masoe as although he maybe great in the first 10 of a spell he will probably become a liability in the second 10 when he is knackered.

For us & our light pack good news, Laroyer, Boudebsa, Donaldson will do better. For the likes of the Crabtree, Morley, Peacock type of player not so good news, For me the one downside is that we will end up with 26 Sinfield clones on the pitch & loose the likes of Warmsley & Watts.

What I thought, seen him do 80 never mind 20 minute stints. There are only the Masoe type players it will effect and also stop players being rushed back from injury. I think props will stay as is, the interchange of hookers and 2nd rowers will be more of a luxury.

tbf watts can play long min for a prop and has this year, now feka that's another story

Watched your match the other week on tv and it amazed me the Paea played the whole first half. Most props should be able to play long stints as you say it will reduce the effectiveness of a Masoe, Feka, Moi Moi.

If I were Masoe I would make damn sure that contract with St George is watertight.

I mean players of his age, I agree he is an exception to the rule. I feel the larger players will fade out of the game as they will not be able to maintain the fittness to do long minutes every week especialy if we continue with this stupid idea of consantly speeding up te game.
