For those who are interested on how he will fare down under (I suspect many wont) then here are some highlights of him playing for Manly-Wynnum Seagulls in the Queensland cup comp. Interesting playing against the Papua New Guinea team that are also in the comp, but no Maki or Paneau.

I also have a friend who has managed to catch a dozen or so PNG Hunters games and reckons they could easily cope in the Super League over here.

An article in Oz press on recruitment and retention for next season suggested Wayne Bennett will probably release Greg due to the fact he doesn't like his wingers to make mistakes.

I heard the opposite. Wayne Bennett apparently likes wingers who make mistakes because it enables a test of character in how they respond. |

All coaches like every player to make mistakes, and often, it means they don't have to do midweek defensive training because its done during a match.
More to the point, how is it that NRL reserve grade have video refs and SL can only manage to provide them for 2 or 3 games per week?

Best question yet, he's going to need a more wax heavy product which will require more washing out which will strip his natural oils.
Big decisions for Greg this season.
All modern full backs require good hair or a neat little moustache. Non of those ludicrous big beards though.
I was down in Cornwall at the weekend and ruddy Jesus Beejaysus Be Bethlehem. Every single barman tried to drape his fecking beard into my pint of Rock. |

I dare say McCarthy was one of them. Wasn't in Iceland at all, he was rock dipping in Cornwall. |
