Well, we didn't pay a fee for him, and he's only been on the payroll for 5 months, and I doubt his annual wage was anywhere near even the lower figure so, unless you mean something wider, like Weyman as well, it won't be that bad. Still a bit plop though - if true, etc.

Maybe I'd overestimated, I figured as a 'marquee' name he'd command at least £150k a year (that figure is thrown about for a lot of the bigger names since Rovers' first SL season). I thought he would get at least a year's wages unless he's getting released for a breach of contact?

I'm not sure he'd qualify as marquee, for all that he's got a lot of winners medals. I doubt there are too many props earning 6-figure salaries in SL.
If it's true, I suspect it'll be 'mutual agreement'. Mightn't be further cost free - depends which side it's coming from, I guess. But there's no way Rovers would cough up all that money for no good reason.
