Just read in Sydney Morning Herald that the WCC is to be extended to 6 teams, to be played in England late February. That should warm up our Winter.

So i take it our representatives will be the teams that finish in the top 3 at the end of the season. At the moment that would be saints, Cas & Wigan. Feel sorry for whichever team the RFL says had to miss out as I can't see Nigel wood and hetherington not having Leeds involved.

Its already be decided, Challenge cup winners, hubcap winners. GF winners.
Broncos (who might pull out now Bennett is the coach), Souths & GF winners.
2 games are exhibition games and the real WCC GF winners V GF winners
Obviously it could get a little random if Leeds and hup cap winners make the GF, same if Souths win it in Aus.

Also, the Superleague games that the teams miss that weekend are often not played until much later in season, does that impact on league split playoffs?

imho just an attempt by hetherington to make the usual top 4 teams stay the top 4 teams by earning more £s and gaining more media exposure, with the other 2 places a dangled carrot for the rest to chase.
everytime the aussies take it seriously (rather then a tougher pre season warm up game) our champions get beat anyway.
would rather see the GB tours etc come back as it is at least a true test of the game in this country, rather then english teams complimented with southern hemishere players against southern hemishere teams.
wcc is fine as it is
