Quote: "HULL KR have moved swiftly to extend the loan period of winger Ade Gardner until the end of the season.'"
I assume this clears him to play at the weekend.

| I think he is doing a good job and very pleased we have him till the end of the season. Seems to run the ball back harder than out other backs

It does, which is good news, he may not quite have the pace he once had but he is a top professional who's experience will be invaluable during the rest of the season, especially to the younger members of the squad.
Good move by the club imo.

As good as, plus he's not injured at the moment so that's a bonus. When everyone is fit he's not a shoe in for the spot but as that never happens he's likely to play the majority of games.

I think it is fair to say that he's impressed. Great experience of course, but seems to have brought a really positive attitude and willingness to work hard for the team as well.
Is he ooc this year? Making a decent fist so far of showing he could still do a job for somebody, if he doesn't feature in Saints plans going forward.

| When we had a rough patch when Royce got sacked and saints beat Leeds then Warrington. He was out best player.
His go forward was immense, the way he was running the ball back.
I think he found a new lease of life and this move will probably give him the same so wouldn't surprise me if he keeps another player out.
At his best he is actually very good even if a lot of saints fans disagree.
I just think we have two better wingers and he is probably too good to be waiting for someone to be injured.
Most likely be off contract at the end of the year so probably playing for a new contract somewhere too

| So effectively that we have him on a season contract leaving us with wingers of:
Gardner
Caro
Cockayne
Hodgson
Hall
(and potentially Ulugia)
That to me seems very heavy on wingers and can't see us running with that many until the end of the season. So the question is, who is to go? It's difficult, but I think it would have to be Hodgson as I think Hall still offers the squad a lot in terms of utility and halves cover.

I think Hall would then have to be considered as a centre/stand-off. The emergence of Caro and the possible signing of Ulugia would mean we've got a good number of backs. While we're waiting for Gleeson and Hodgson to become available, somebody else might well get injured (unfortunately, nature of the game and that). So it is good to have that depth. Wouldn't be entirely surprised to see a departure though - HDM have speculated Gleeson might be loaned out when he gets fit, of course. It's been mentioned Ulugia might be used as a centre, if he comes. Mainly a wing or fullback from what little I've read about him
