Just watched back chat from yesterday. Looks like all the pundits are giving us no chance against Saints. Why?
Ok, our form isn't that great, but with the chance of our strongest team playing for a while, why are we such underdogs with everyone? Just really hope we buck the trend from the last couple of weeks, and stick two fingers up at Rod Studd and his cronies.

Seriously, I do believe you could turn them over this week. They were no great shakes against us on Friday, they just did the right thing at the right time.

We were abysmal and just allowed them to dictate play.

Stop them sending the ball left all the time and you will scupper their game plan. Dobson also has the kicking game to pressure them (unlike we did).

That's how I feel too. Its not as cut and dry as the pundits are making out. And I have the feeling Sands is telling what we need to know regarding injuries (but I guess there's some gamesmanship there aswell, as I have a feeling Paea and Paterson will both play). And id dare say Barring Eden, O'Hara(cough) and Burns, we will be full strength.

I don't know why we're so bothered about being underdogs, in fact, I'd rather be underdogs! Like sandy said in today's hdm he's not bothered about it! Saints looked nothing special in the highlights of the game. They were gifted two tries by hull knock ons and them picking it up, also they got a try from a lucky bounce/pickup. After these tries I think hull where already beaten so could be guilty of letting in soft tries and just playing soft in general towards the end. Saints are certainly nothing special like we have shown 3 times this year!! COYR

It's as simple as that for me, plus a home tie. Not a lot going in our favour. I hope we can push them hard till the end as I think we are going to be well up for this one but can see their quality over coming us in the end.

Rod Studd is a clueless baffoon, I wouldn't get too hot under the collar based on anything he has to say.

Teams finishing 8th have a poor record in the current play off format. I only recall Catalans in 2009 ever winning a game from that position, and that's cos they got Wakey who somehow got 5th!

Our inconsistency gives us a chance if the good Rovers turn up. We've beaten everybody except Wigan this season. Mind you, all but 1 team has beaten us. That team is Saints at least. I can't see us going on a run tbh, but in a one-off game we might do it. While this is our 4th time in the SL play-offs, we've only won one game in them, so to match that would be some going. Saints will be favourites and they've got Roby and one or two others back. But, as I say, if we're on song we'll give them a game. If we're not, we'll get humped - but still, not too bad a season overall, everything considered.

Hopefully they'll play The Snail at off half again and leave Hohaia on t'bench.

They've probably found out that zod has tipped you to steamroller saints so are expecting you to go down to a heavy defeat
