| Starting this as a fun thread, not aimed at causing a cross city spat like happens on so many threads...
Share when, how and where that you have met or seen players past or present (not at the grounds), this does not mean its limited to Hull or Rovers players..
I`ll start the ball rolling, bumped into James Webster in Argos in St Stephens yesterday....
first glance i said to myself.... by i know that face and then it dawned on me who it was ... never had my autograph book on me so ended up having to get a scribble on a blank piece of till roll i scrounged off the till worker...

| This thread is tailor-made for Ginger Spice lol!
I was sat in New Inn (Hedon Road) when I was tapped on my shoulder and asked if I wanted to buy some pork sausages and streaky bacon.
It was Pete 'Flash' Flanagan.
I hadn't seen him for years. He use to work with my father and he remembered me from my time at Rovers as a ball boy and colts player. We had a few drinks reminiscing. . .but I didn't buy the sausages and bacon!

| I saw Krissy Welham riding his bike with his Weimaraners dog on a lead on Sutton road the other week, lovely looking dog, also bumped into him in Adsa before his injury and he bumped into my trolley, I said shame you don't tackle like that Kris

| Right here goes then I might not remember them all :
1 Ben cockayne used to walk his dogs out near us on a night in his dressing gown, lovely well behaved dogs.
2 willie Mason and Joel Clinton drinking in red hawk we bought them a couple of pints had my pic took with them then deleted the pic after what went on.
3 meeting Darren lockyer and Sam Thiaday in Aus defo highlight of everything.
4 dobbo, green sherriff, Vella paea webbo, gene, brisco Clinton, laithwaite withers stalked em all round morrisons.
5 Seymour coming out of home bargains on hessle road.
6 live right close to dicko from cas
7 saw webbo and paea on valentines day and beeped and they nearly dropped bouquets on floor.
8 often see welham at bingo.
If I can think of any more I will do lol

| I was on work experience at Topcolor in the town centre circa 1988. The owner had asked me to paint the window frame outside the shop. Mike Smith walked past. I said 'alright Mike' he replied 'alright'.
Saw Martin Offiah and Ellery Hanley in LA's circa 1990 went over and shook their hands. I think they were with Bright Sodje but my memory may have made that bit up...I would have been well oiled by the time we reached a club.
Played against Steve Mcnamara when he played for North Bransolme. I tried to tackle him and he ran straight through me. Think he was playing fullback at the time. We got spanked by about 60 points.
Walked past Aizue and Gene in the carpark near ToysRus.
Saw Shannon Macdonnel outside Kings the other week. He was on his phone so I couldn't grill him re, his future. Next thing he had slipped away into the night.

| I was on a beano round the Olde Town about 4 yrs ago, and we walked into White Hart (on Alfred Gelder St) only to be greeted by the loudest snores I've ever heard.
It was Stanley Gene, zonked out and laid out on the lounge bench seating!
We broke out into "Wake up Stanley Gene. . ." he woke up, leapt onto the table in front of him and conducted us. Great craic!

Just after they named the bar after Flash, I saw him in Paragon pub (think it was after the match of the day it was re-named). I asked him how he was and commented that that I had just seen the new sign at the ground 'The Flash Flanagan Bar'. He just looked at me across the bar and said ''you must have got it wrong, probably says Flash Flanagan Barred''......... Good old Flash.

| I was out round town one saturday night in January a few years back. Someone peed up tapped me on the shoulder and said 'Can I borrow a fag mate' I looked round and there was Graham Horne. I said to him 'Aren't you supposed to be in training?' He just said 'sshhhh, don't tell anyone' to which I replied 'I don't care i'm a Rovers supporter' There were a few other Hull players out too.
