| Question
Would we (M62 corridor rugby people) be happy if one of the "expansion teams" were a major force in the game?
Imagine London or Catalans doing the Old Trafford/Wembley double and the northern teams playing second string. Would we see this as good for the expansion of the game or too much out of our comfort zone?
Would the Wigan, Saints and Leeds of this world welcome such a scenario?

I'd love it. I'm sure all fans of our game would welcome any team that earns the right to play in a major final based on their success on the field. Who in their right mind wouldn't?

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I personally would love an expansion team to be there or there abouts each season when the trophies are won. The problems would arise with how that would/could be achieved. If it's done with lots of string pulling and funny handshakes from the RFL/SLE then I wouldn't envisage many of the "heartland" clubs or their supporters being very welcoming of the situation. I'm sure there are plenty of alleged RL supporters who can't see past the ends of their noses and the benefits that an expansion team (especially London) winning trophies would bring to the sport. Even if it were done the same way as any other team there'd still be moaners who think there's something underhand being done behind the scenes because surely only northerners can play and appreciate RL can't they?

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?

Cov Bears do have a good set up, but actually [idon't[/i have their own ground. Definitely one to watch for the future - some good investment.

If Quins/Broncos became a top force on merit, who could argue about it?
