Tragically took his own life and was found by his family this morning. Thoughts go out to your family. A player with so much ability and so much passion for our great game..

Can only imagine the mental anguish he must have been going through to have thought that this was the only way out. Tragic.

Both Brian Carney and Barrie were obviously close personal friends of Terry and of course ex team mates. Terry O'Connor will be feeling it to off screen i'd imagine

At this time we can only assume it is because of the drugs saga.

Which does beg the question are the RFL doing right by those who are banned from the game? Gareth Hock took an illegal drug, whereas Newton was using a performance enhancing drug, yet they both got the same length ban. I don't know how it works, but do the RFL just wash their hands of the players. Whatever they are doing, it shows to me that they're possibly not doing enough.
