If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg

Always got the impression that JM doesn't really rate Wheeldon, although I would've thought he'd be the type of player most clubs would try to hang on to. Like any coming or going, it'll depend on who's lined up to replace him.

I'm sure Morgan isn't the only coach in SL who's had to make compromises when signing players. The cap and overseas rules will see to that.

I agree with some of the comments Scott is a bit on the light side for a superleague front rower. He gives 100% every time he turns out fpr rovers, the same as when played for HullFC I only hope he gets a start with another club in the top flight. Just another player that as fell out of favour with Mr Morgan I would rather see him go than Scott

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God:

Fell out of favour?

He's been playing, His contract is running down and its up to him to earn a new one. I'd give him a new deal but maybe the club has another target(s) in mind and with him and Mills the out of contract front rowers something has got to give

Why when anyone either doesn't get picked or doesn't get offered a contract have they 'fell out with Morgan'? Couldn't it just be the case that he's not good enough to either deserve a spot or a new contract....

I suspect its more a case that he isn't doing enough to earn a contract on his current salary (don't know what that is exactly but rumoured to be quite a bit for his age, level of experience etc), I would think rovers will leave it to him to get a better offer elsewhere and if he doesn't then offer something at reduced terms more in keeping with his now current squad player status, only guessing though.

You assume that, just because he isn't been picked, he's out of favour with Morgan, could it be that he simply hasn't been performing well enough overall this season to merit been picked on regular basis.
In my personal opinion he is a little bit lightweight, as is our pack overall, therefore i believe we need to be searching for someone with size and power next season to give us that extra go forward. icon_smile.gif

I think we may see Wheeldon and Mills contract values combining to bring in a new big name prop and James Green promoted from the Reserves to be given the 6th props spot in place of Rich Beaumont.
