Hello KR Fans,

Having watched you a lot on television this year, and of course watching the legend that is Stanley Gene I was wondering if you could tell me the chances of him signing a new contract with you after this season. He still looks up to the job, and do you think he will want to retire with you guys or continue playing for aslong as possible?

He'll be playing long after Hull KR have gone, long after everything has gone too probably.

Knowing Stan he'd probably want to go round again and again however he misses a few training sessions as his body just isn't holding up as well as he shows on game day. As much as I'll be gutted to lose him from Rovers and the great game I feel this year will be his last.

If he signed for anyone else I have no doubts he would only ever perform at 100% and nobody could ask for more from him.

I think this'll be his last season with Rovers

I think Stan might squeeze 12 more months of SL rugby out of Rovers.

Would love to see the mighty Stan stay for another 12months but sadly head tells me it may be his last season, hopefully not, i believe he can still do a job for us

Why do you think he wont stay on for a further season ?
From what I have seen of him this season he looks to still be able to compete and still looks in great shape !

Stan continues to do an excellent job for us , I for one did not think he would get so much game time.

And I for two too!

i thought stan said he'd come back to rovers to finish his career at the club he loves. personally tho, if rovers dont keep him on i reckon stan would jump at the chance to play another year or more as long as he thinks his 63 year old body can carry him, and he wont let himself down as he loves the game that much, coming back to rovers as coach in a couple of years time. whether this is in nl or one of the struggling sl clubs who knows.

Told me himself he expects it to be his last season though wouldnt surprise me to see him run out again next season

still in good shape, no major injuries, i would like him to accepy greatly reduced terms to be a squad player/coach. coach wage and pay as play etc. think he could do a job for 8 - 12 games in tough parts of a season when injuries/suspensions kick in.
