Is cap space an issue in this division.
If a chairman guarantees the cost a club can spend what it wants is my understanding.

No, you have the same cap available as the SL teams

Maybe looking at English players, but moving butler Fleming on loan to York does it free up his non fed.. and why not go for James green from Leigh he ain't getting game time and Colton roaches from Bradford who Kr was looking at him

James Green always played with passion which was great to watch but he was rarely effective in my opinion. Would he get into the squad ahead of Scruton, Masoe, Jewitt, Johnson, Kavanagh, Clark and Mulhern? Imo he would not.

I would agree with that. I liked James Green as a person and watched him progress over the years from when he first started playing for Rovers as a youngster, but in my view he suddenly stopped improving and for whatever reason never quite reached his potential. In some of his games he would have the occasional really good moment or two but just never seemed consistent enough to me. All things considered I thought he turned out to be nothing more than a little above average by the time he left Rovers. He doesn't appear to have kicked on since he left Rovers either, so bringing him back to the club would be a backward step in my opinion.

Watching Warrington v Widnes. Both playing very basic rugby and still lots of errors. Warrington on paper still look good and Hiku stands out but losing at half time. Will be different circumstances and pressure when we play them but they are far from unbeatable

My thoughts exactly! I am following it on twitter last tweet was along the lines of Widnes knock on, Warrington turn it over 10m out Widnes then knock on it sounds shocking

I think you may have answered your own question on Green.

We're blessed with decent depth right now, especially at prop.

If we make another signing, there's not much value in just another body. If we can bring in somebody better than what we have already, then great - I'm struggling for realistic suggestions though.

A half is needed most.but can't see it happening now.Masoe is a big bonus plus the injured players returning. We could have enough as it stands.

Ellis seems to pull his finger out in the big games well against Leigh anyhow, for me greenwood and minns will be like new signings seems an eternity since they played.

Fair points..Watching Widnes tonight they apparently have 11 out.Chase Hanbury aside who would we want in our side?hemorrhoid?no we have 2 better hooker.O'barrell is similar to there pack players now. Very average .Well organised side but very limited. Was thinking Catalans and Leigh may be most vulnerable but Widnes look far worse than our team that got relegated

Would take joe mellor, Thompson (whose off anyhow) isn't heremai injured? I can't stand Widnes fans they're on par with Leigh, I wouldn't even want chase tbf. Looking at them and Leigh I agree our squads better then the side that went down and their sides aren't any better as you say if not worse....

widnes aren;t a bad team but have had massive injury problems all season. 11 missing tonight I think they said including a couple of half backs, a full back and his deputy and both thier first chocie hookers. if they ever get near a full strength team on the field they will be OK in the 8's but it's a big if. leigh are the worst team in SL IMO but it will be interesting to see if mortimer can improve them. I still think you'll finish above leigh and probably widnes unless their injury run improves significantly

I've never had a problem with Leigh fans and drank with a fair few over years. Salford and Widnes for me but fair few groups of fans find both Hull teams bad for trouble at away games and it's often just few nutters full of ale . Mellor was good jinking through the line but didn't organise much.Widnes were very poor and Warrington took 60;min to get over them so they aren't firing on all cylinder either
