| Quote: Gallanteer "Most of Hudds tries came from our mistakes. Just think if that first lucky intercept try hadn't happened by us pushing too hard and not respecting the ball. Same for the Charlie knock on.
I can't see it changing next week. Both teans will be nervous, and we may be worse after Hudds. Either that or it might inspire us.
I think Kelly is still a MASSIVE question, no matter what we think. This is SL survival at last chanxe saloon. He's probably not match fit at the mo, but does he give us that one small spell of magic that gets us all home? If nothing else, with Kelly AND Campo on the field we look more dangerous and make teams think twice, even though it may justvbe an illusion. Marsh and not even Blair in the halves gives other teams something extra to worry about. If we win, fine, but uf we lise and he doesb't play, we will ALL be questioning the decision.
Kitchen sink time I'm afraid, not matter what has gone on behind closed doors.
I will support the team ad get a season pass next yar regardless. I was a season holder during the dark days, and it was tragic. I don't relish the future if we head back there again.
Anyone deluding themselves that we'll definately win needs to open their eyes to reality. We need to channel the same nerves and spirit we had at Widnes 10 years ago. We are now a championship side vying for promotion, it is the ONLY way to see this game.
But on current form, as I stated before.....bricking it.'"
Has Churchill said we will fight them on the beaches no sorry meant the pitch we will not surrender till we throw in the white towel up and at them cry god and hull kingston rovers

| The only odds I can find have us 8/13 and Salford at 6/5.
Dunno if I'm surprised by that. Disappointing as the defeat was, we did run Hudds close I suppose, and we are at home. Not sure I'm quite as confident as Joe Punter though.

Doubt it. I don't believe in conspiracy theories. Just inept officials and our erratic form.

| I think this will be the most horrible game I have ever attended.
Nothing to gain, everything lose.

Try to look at it the other way. We are already a Champ side trying to be promoted. We need to cheer them on and get enthusiastic. Looking at it any other way is just too depressing.

| With you KR,because you are the underdogs, much like Huddersfield are against Leeds & Bradford.
Hull FC got looked after with the KC stadium, had it all handed to them on a plate.

FYI, the KC was built on the back of a huge Council windfall following the sale of Kingston Comminications. Hull KR also got offered the KC, but turned it down. Understandable due to it being in the West side of the City. Hull more than pay their way at the KC.
Rovers have been looked after by the Council with NCP. The original ground design was poor as they tried to replicate the old CP, but failed to match the atmosphere of the old stadium. Slightly improved now, but always felt they should have built something similar to the HWJ stadium.

Who paid for your stadium? Hull pay about 15 grand a week in rent. How much do hudds pay?

We were smart- we pay a rental based on the number attending- so about a tenner a week.

Speaking from last year's experience it definitely will be. There is no elation in the victory, just out and out relief!

Agreed. I've been fortunate enough to see my team in Cup finals and Grand finals and the build up is excitement mixed with a few nerves.
The MPG is completely different. It was just awful. The week leading up to it and the day is just filled with dread. I didn't enjoy one minute of the game. Even had we won i would have been saying the same. It's just an awful experience and it's even worse if you lose
I wish you luck!

| Agree with above 2 posts - horrible week and awful game to attend. No pleasure in the process at all. Having been there last year and won, you would think that would make it a pleasurable experience? Not at all, a bit of short term relief maybe (sorry Matron!), but that's about it. Relegation battles over a full season I have lived with and even enjoyed, because the rub generally works itself out equally over 8 months. The MPG is just a terrible example of a marketing persons concept of a 'thrilling idea'. I won't be watching it, don't take any pleasure in seeing other people's disappointment - and just watch how much the cameraman seeks out younger supporters on the losing side, hoping to find some inconsolable fan shedding heartfelt tears at their favourite teams demise.
Not for me, Sky and the RFL can stick their MPG where the satellite dishes won't pick up the signal.
Good luck to the Robin's, either way it will be all over this time next week and that isn't a bad thing at all.
