| Nice to hear from you DAVE@CAS1990, I remember you good posts from earlier in the season.
You're right, we got very little from The Bearded Berk today, but even if we had, we'd still have gone down by twenty plus.
I imagine we're a lot nearer the cap than you guys are and the only difference I can see is the coach.
Your team has clearly bought into Powell and more power to you for doing that, I always felt he was harshly treated at Leeds.
Good RL people darn't lane, glad you're all enjoying your season.

| Not a surprise that Sandercock blamed the ref though he clearly wasn't at fault for the debacle on the pitch and as much you'll probably disagree, there were some justified decisions there.
Equally, if we are on a ref witch-hunt then Cas every have right to be aggrieved too given we had a knock-on given that wasn't, an obstruction given that wasn't and your deliberate holding down that got ignored all game (plus a few offsides).
With that off my chest, and returning to your side, they just didn't look good at all. Defensively awful and Ulugia/Welham's side was terrible. Hauraki, Channing, Webster and Dixon went to town down that side.
Then you lost a couple to injury and with an already beaten pack knackered, playing another 40 with limited subs it looked like it was always going to continue one-sided. Biggest issue was the ability of people like Clark, Wheeldon, Dorn just to punch holes through the middle. I just find it hard to believe that a side can go from dropping the ball over their opposition line to conceding 20 seconds later.
Keating was anonymous and Burns needs to learn to shut his trap. Looked at the two sides before the game and thought it might be tight in the middle of the park with you edging it. I've walked out wondering if I've just seen one of the worst sides to come down Wheldon Rd this season - disappointing for you guys but at least you have two weeks respite now to put things right.
Best of luck with the rest of the season and thank you to the good KR fans (not the idiots who let you down) who came across in your 1700 rough contingency.

| Twice beaten by a castleford side who in both games have been far superior to us,and fully deserved their win.The ref roby was his normal self, useless, and the cas fans around us loved him, wonder why ?
Welham must be the worst centre in s/l by a mile, never been able to tackle but has now added another string to his bow by being unable to keep hold of the ball as well, hopeless.

They said on the radio that a bottle was thrown at Luke Dorn after he had scored a try, whoever the brainless clown was that threw it needs weeding out and banning, the fans in that section must know who the pratt is.
The radio commentary team even said that the Rovers fans in the section where the bottle was thrown should have grabbed the moron and handed him to the security staff.

He has been all season, although I read somewhere this week that he's better than Dobson. I suspect the author was referring to Anita and not Michael.

He is probably somewhere in the middle of where you think he is and those that think he is the new Dobson.

| Today was a very bad day at the office! The ref was a joke especially in the first half, but I doubt we would have won anyway, Cas were good today we were shocking. A lot of their try's were length of the field efforts, Our left edge got a hiding today Welham needs dropping he was targeted today massively, and other teams will do the same until he sorts himself out. Was there any good points from todays game? I don't think there were!

| A few things not mentioned in the hysterics so far.
Why did Keating play. He clearly couldn't use his left hand, especially in defence.
Green was an embarrassment. Since he got his contract he's been awful. Cox was very poor too.
Roby did bum US in the first 20 mins. Huby taking out cockcayne at acting half when larroyer broke and then allowing Cas to get the ball then penalizing us for complaining was amazing to see.
Burns lost the plot after that and so did the team who followed his example.
Cas had an amazing kicking game and lots of support for the man with the ball. Clark Dorn Hauraki were great for them.
Wayman was great for us.
Walker bros went missing for the 1st time.
Ulugia went ok.
Feel sorry for Welham injuries have taken his spirit. What happened to the fearless chaser of every kick. He's broke bones for the club shame to hear him being turned on by so called fans.
Sandercock's summary wasn't far off. He left out the sulking non effort by some of our players but then he should keep that in house.
Mention for Horne who Shenton got no change from all game.
Ps hope Cas win the comp. Best team we've played so far. Good run with injuries and they have a shout. Great old ground too. Don't ever leave it.
I saw no trouble today.

| Appalling. For as good as Cas were, I kind of feel we were guilty of performing our own 'scotumopathy'. It was just too easy for them, that they never really had to do much. No shame being outclassed ... but I do feel with a bit more desire we could've stopped a few scores. Basics > Letting the ball bounce ... tap restart ... not good enough.
Our left side ...? Hopeless. Was it 8 trys shipped directly down this side? Abysmal. I actually thought Ulugia had a decent outing on the wing too, which says a lot. Welham has somehow dodged being dropped previously. Be it the local tag or his try scoring ability ... now, he has no place being anywhere near the first team. Frep off, you overrated piece of turd. Was he really, ever once considered ... a future international? Maybe I'm being overly harsh in the heat of the moment, but I cracked today. It's tough coming back from a broken leg, but he's along way off a) the player he once was, and b) a player deserving to be in the team.
Welham singled out yes, but in truth, any number could be. Weyman ... wtf - you're our seasoned pro. Getting sent off for verbal? ... not good enough. Esp, given the match situation at the time.
Tim Roby got his revenge for the bottle/pint that hit him against FC (and I do believe that). He had embarrassing eyes for Cas only to start with. But, that being said ... I feel the knock on Child missed was the worse decision against us at a crucial time, esp following his all too keen to run on flag waving prior. Didn't matter in the end did it ...
7k ...? Decent numbers from us ... 5.5k home fans?

Don't be mean. You just bummed us.
Clark is Roby's heir. Hodgson is a great hooker and up there with them and Lunt (Mickey Mouse at Wigan is a joke) as best in comp.
Clark is off to wire and Huby to Giants which I take no joy in as I have always liked Cas.
