He should go and speak to his former coach.
There was once a piece about JM and his career in which he admitted he wasn't the best player in the world but he worked hard on his shortfallings to make sure he made it or words to that effect.
If Liam had that attitude he would probably be knocking on the full England squads door by now.

| Liam Watts generally play has improved this year but his continual willingness to give away cheap, careless and unnecessary penalties has been the undoing of him.
I remember our problems back in 2008 when Chris Chester gave away 5 penalties in one match away at Saints. He had to retire through injury against Catalans IRC and the same group of players (give or take a few) went from getting 23 points in 2008 to 35 points in 2009. Of course there were other factors than the absence of Chester's penalties that enabled such progress but ridding a team of the main "penalty machine" helped significantly IMO.
I feel there's been a similar effect in our turn around of form since Watts has been dropped because the team have had their fair share of possession which has enabled the attacking and defensive structures to start taking effect properly.
I think Watts has great potential but he's had his chance to sort his discipline issues out and he hasn't so I think it's best for him to go IMO and give our other hungry young forwards more opportunities.

| Liam doesn't have that steel and determination needed to be a top class forward. Taylor has it already, carries the ball in hard and looks to leg drive another couple of yards. Liam doesn't have that. With a bit more leg strength and a better attitude would make a decent prop. Taylor / O'Hara / Paea all have it, Watts doesn't. Oh yes... and appears to run like he's nipping in a turtles head if you know what I mean.

'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world'
Yves Le Prieur, the real inventor of the aqualung: |

Because McDonnell, Welham, Green, Dobson, Taylor, Galea, Josh Hodgson are better than anyone in your squad and most the rest are equal to what you have got.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. Note the question mark aimed toward the bright spark that misinterpreted my post.
For clarity; I'd rather peel my finger nails off with children's scissors than associate myself with the fanbase of Hull FC.

| On his way to our noisy neighbours, according to HDM this morning they seem to have won/winning the race to sign him over Wakie and could be gone before the end of season should a favourable deal be done. It seems the Hull offer is the one he favours.

It really is a shame about wattsy cos he has the potential to be a great player however he seems to be one of these players that whichever club he starts at he's grt for a season then he gets comfortable and ruins it by becoming lazy and not respecting the club, can he change who knows, I think he got away with a lot under Morgan and he can't under Craig and I certainly don't think he's gonna pull the wool over gentles eyes cos at the minute gentle is not the man to mess with at fc.
