We are not shaking in our boots no, but if theres one thing that newly promoted teams struggle with its squad depth. If those two are starters then you might be struggling, but its two established SL players to provide a bit of back up and cover. They might be uninspiring signings, but they are not bad ones.

| Was Lee contracted to saints next year? Maybe saints have paid you a fee to get rid of him

| A warm welcome to them both.
The announcement makes it clear they've been brought in to add depth. Sheens knows them both from Salford, of course.
With the couple of youngsters brought in from Warrington and, again, Salford our depth should be okay. A few of the lads who were fringe players in the Championship will probably move on. No doubt we will promote 1 or 2 from the academy to the outer fringes of the squad too.
We do need a handful of players to come in at the top end of the squad still, but we're still on a championship distribution, so I can see why we might not be in too much of a rush.

| With the exception of Washbrook, for whom time is running out, this does mean we've signed all of the 'silver' generation of players that emerged at Hull in the middle of the last decade - Wheeldon, Hall, G. Horne, and now Lee.
Not sure how I feel about that. Old, mainly, I guess.

| Can anyone else see Lee taking the LF role, pushing Kavanagh up to our property rotation?

I’d be mortified if we even considered it. Kav should be a squad player at best in SL. Lee will be at another club this time next year.

| Plenty of negativity towards the signing of Tommy Lee but the signing of Walne adds depth and competition to the front row.
I'm a little concerned over the remark Hudge made (4-5 signings, in addition to Maguire) so that leaves either NONE or ONE more!

The signing of Walne adds a lightweight underperforming nobody who is simply not Super League quality.
Tommy Lee is a half decent player.
Looks like we're shopping in the bargain basement again.

I very much doubt he includes Dagger. So by my reckoning that’s Walne and Lee with at least 2-3 earmarked at the World Cup. Seeing that we cruised the middle 8’s I’m happy with where we are. The less said about some “fans” replies to the club announcement on Social media the better. Lee Richardson correct in his verdict of them.

...or adding squad depth whilst, freeing quota places and leaving plenty of cap space.
I don't like Lee at all but..Lunt gets injured. Lawler is no hooker over the long term meaning Jubb carries that load in our return to Superleague. No chance.
I'm guessing but replacements for Clark and now Clay seem lined up from overseas. Lee and Walne add cheap cover to the squad depth.
My guess is Sheens will target games next season as he did this so will look to rotate a bit.
I'm hoping on another pivot and some big back rowers.

Me I am not keen on lee but when we went down the main problem was beside the coaching was we did not have proper back up when we came back up we had proper back up players like lee will be good back ups Lunt will not go the full season without a rest or get himself injured so now we wait and see after the world cup witch end in December so plenty of time
