If Bailey is ill I realise it is a personal thing but he is being slagged off on here by some people who are so called supporters, I use this term but in fact they do not support Rovers or they would not be slagging him. Whatever he was with Leeds and he was not my favourite player but now he is part of our club and until the truth comes out, whatever the truth is! We should treat him with respect.
He is not Willy Mason slag him all you like he was an out and out great dude but until Ryan Bailey is found out one way or the other he is still one of ours. Don't forget how Hull supporters crucified Bret Seymour and what that led to. The players are only human and rumours do not help at all'"
I think its may be due to certain legal protocol been followed, that's what i heard but i guess we will all find out the truth of the matter very soon.

| The players will need our backing tonight, my only hope would be to continue our home form!
I just wish we turned up away from home!

How can you possibly question the legitimacy of the Rovers supporters on here, just because they express an opinion on a player whose reputation at his former club was hardly exemplary? Sadly for him and for us, he has done little to enhance these preconceptions since he signed for us.
Let's be frank, whatever the cause of Bailey's absence, he has hardly been a part of our season to date, so it's hardly surprising few regard him as one of ours.
You should know you have to earn respect in this world, it's not an automatic rite of passage. Both Bailey and this great club that I personally began supporting in the 1960s have disrespected loyal supporters by hiding the truth.
As I said in an earlier post on this thread - time will tell and the truth will out.

| The whole Bailey issue must be a distraction to the team as it is to the supporters and we really could do with a statement to let us all know what is going on.
With our current lack of front rowers tonight is going to be a real challenge, we face probably the best pack in superleague this year and if we are to get anything from the game we need our forwards to step up again as they did against Wigan and Catalans! We need everyone to have 80 minutes focus and for Terry and Albo to work their majic to give us field position as it looks like we will be lacking the grunt to go down the middle.
I really hope we can continue our home form of the last 2 games and that we can make a certain Mr Schofield choke on his words!
So lets have faith, get behind the lads tonight and hopefully get the result.
The club for there part should make a statement before easter for the sake of the fans, I along with the majority of fans trust and respect their intentions and I am sure if Mr Bailey is on his way out of the club, then Chris Chester will be do all he can to bring in a quality replacement.

I have no objection to Bailey being slagged if it turns out he has done the dirty on the club what I am saying is that he is being slagged off before the truth whatever it might be comes out. Apart from that I am not slagging all supporters of Rovers and yes everyone is entitled to there opinion without doubt. He is part of our club no matter what his input has been. If Mike Smith and Chris Chester thought he would be an asset to the club and signed him then we should stand bye him until we know any different. It is the club that are disrespecting the supporters. Having said that it may be best it left private and the question should be asked should Baily's agent or manager come out with a statement they do enough work trying to shop players around maybe this situation should also be part of there remit . Often when they are seriously ill prefer it to be kept in house, who knows I just don't like anyone being slagged off when it may not be there fault at all that is also respect

I agree with a lot of the points you make - but the club also has an obligation to stop this from being a distraction, if they are not tell the fans everything that is one thing, but I hope they are being open and honest with the players!
If Bailey isn't at fault - surely they could have come out with some sort of statement to partially vindicate the guy! it can be in no ones best interest for the rumour mill to go into meltdown unchecked!

I also agree pretty much with this post and easthull4's last post.
The lack of clarity and consistency from the club about Ryan Bailey's continued absence is fuelling all sorts of speculation, especially on here. This situation is compounded by our concern at our forwards crisis.
The club needs to put out a statement as soon as possible, but I "speculate" the reason it hasn't may be legally privileged or because it needs to get all its ducks in a row. Who knows, there may even be something wrong with the player. Your speculation is as good as mine.

| I don't think we can wait for an NRL prop personally. We need at least one prop asap. Get scouting the championship NOW Rovers.
