Why don't we just get rid of the loopholes all together and just say to clubs you can have as many Aussies as you can get but you MUST play at least 6 home grown players per game, another 5 players out of the 17 must be federation trained with the others made up of anyone else in the squad. Link in to this that your home grown players must be paid a minimum of 25k per year it would encourage teams to really work on their home grown players.

This way has the potential to improve the standard of both the competition and youngsters coming through as 11 out of the 17 are always going to be federation trained and home grown players meaning a team like Rovers can't field 10 non-federation trained players leaving only 7 spots open for everyone else.

HDM story seems to be entirely credible.

Don't forget Wigan! Or are they immune from all critisicm because they are champs....

Wigan, while not perfect, have 8 overseas.. that's 3 more than the ruling but 3 less than you. They also don't actively go out to bend the rules like your club does. Finally, Wigan have made a telling contribution to the international game with 6 of the 23 players in the recent 4 nations coming from their academy.

No they break the rules instead, which is why they have been in trouble over it.



We have broke no rules so get over it.
Wigans academy has always been very strong hence why Sarsfield (1 of the best youngsters in the country) has been snapped up by Hudds.

It's called bending the rules looking for exploits. Essentailly Hull KR have once again, as with the Stanley Gene ruling, opened up the floodgates for more overseas players to come here.
