The way I count it is comp points. Although we climbed 3 places from the previous year in both 2008 and 2009, in 2009 we gained an extra 12 points (relative to 200icon_cool.gif, whereas in 2008 we picked up only an extra 3 (compared with 2007).
Around mid-table, a couple of points here or there tends to be exaggerated in terms of the number of positions difference it makes.
I suppose it is the difference between doing better and being better. I'm happy with either. Compared to last year, I'm seeing neither |
