I think you need to have another look at what being sacked actually means.

No that is no better as it's pretty much the same. A club can't just terminate a contract willy nilly unless they have just cause.
Now if you had said the club and the player had come to an agreement I would have possibly agreed with you.

Okay, the difficulty we have now is with something becoming common (rumoured) knowledge, without being public knowledge. As a suggestion, if people could say they're not saying anything in a way that doesn't hint pretty strongly at what they're not saying, it'd be good. Cheers, MR.

Yeah, the tone of the interview was reasonably optimistic and the club hierarchy and the fans seem to be on the same page, broadly speaking.
