Quote: DuaneDibbley "I think your hatred for anything Neil Hudgell is getting the better of you. Rovers were not the main stakeholders on the project. So I reckon that things were happening behond their control. And we all know how well council run projects progress. They brought in a company with no experience of building a sports stand.'"

I don't hate Hudge, he makes me chuckle and that makes me feel happy. But you're doing him a disservice in trying to infer he entered into a substantial financial commitment for nearly £2M to fund the construction of a new stand in his own ground without approving the plans. Do you think he's thick or something?

Neil will have known how many loos were included in the plans, trust me icon_wink.gif .

You don't know the facts and you are the one who is making yourself look thick.
Maybe Phil Webster can come on and show you how wrong you are.

That is only one side of the story
What about the company project managing the project who did not submit the correct colour of the cladding and the article admitting it was a mistake by them and it would have cost £650,000 to put right?
Are you stating the Neil Hudgell signed off the Blue Cladding? This is were your argument starts to fall apart.

Cllr Hale acknowledged the colour of the stand's cladding was an error.

He said the council and its partners would discuss it at a meeting on Monday.

Mr Hudgell also said Rovers have major concerns over design failings, which have seen it differ vastly from plans they were shown prior to construction.

Incredibly, it has even seen the exterior cladding of the new stand installed in blue, instead of the planned club colours of red as had been agreed.

"The whole development of the North Stand has been shambolic from the start and at present we are in danger of missing a great opportunity of providing a great facility not just for Rovers, but also for east Hull," Mr Hudgell said.

Quote: DuaneDibbley "

I can sort of understand the cladding issue, as it appears the wrong colour was ordered, but 2 bogs? That would be clearly on the plans and should've been picked up by anyone with an ounce of common sense. Why did Hudge sign it off?'"

Not at all. I've already said the cladding was a mistake as the wrong colour was ordered. Phil Webbo admits that. So Neil will have put pen to paper for the original colour, in that case. Can see why he was mad about that bit, (although personally I think it's turned out OK, probably better than planned, actually - all that red would've looked tacky). But the actual designs were signed off by Rovers at every stage of the development. Or do you think the council are lying? Certainly, Hudgell has never disputed that claim.

You are clearly trying to put all the blame on Neil Hudgell because of your dislike for him. Why would they walk out of a project if they believed what was getting built was correct? They would have carried on oblivious. It is more believable that their concerns were not being addressed hence the fallout.

I don't know what all the fuss is about,
1, The council didn't bring in a company, it has a legally binding contract with NPS to deliver design and build projects not only that if they hadn't don it it would have had to be tendered out which is a very expensive process.
2, There aren't two toilets, there are 4 blocks of toilets on the concourse and others spread around the stand upstairs.
3, The colour was an error as previously explained.
4.HKR only missed 3 project board meetings and our relationship is very good.
5, Neil may well have not seen the plans as Paul Green was overseeing it on his behalf.
6, It doesn't matter now, it's completed and a lot better than what was there before.
I will answer questions on the build but not on the financing, that was done to death with someone else.

Phil,

Neil criticised the toilets early in the build and has since been proved correct in his assessment. The ladies I've spoken too who visited the North stand loved it and they stated that the toilets where fantastic, More then enough and they suffered no queues. The mens couldn't have been more different. Some fans started queuing at half time and where still queuing at the start of the 2nd half. Can this be looked at as it's a serious design fault. You have single urinals been utilised when surely one big stainless steel urinal spanning the length of the toilets is surely the way to go to eliminate some seriously large queues.
