True, but lets look at it another way.

If I as a 52 yr old man was to deck my garden out in childrens toys and rides and then invite kids into my house to spend weekends with me and then tell everyone I had slept with small boys, but only in an innocent way and I am in fact a child at heart, I doubt I would be free for long and would be banged up at HM pleasure in a segregated section of it. This would happen even if I was telling the truth.

Since when did you become the judge and the jury, he was aquitted of any crimes. period. Unfortunately mud sticks and there will always be people who will point the finger of guilt, history is full of such cases.
He was never my cup of tea as a person, his personality was a little strange to say the least although i believe, this was largely to do with his upbringing as a child , his father by all acounts, should shoulder much of the blame for that.
At the end of the day he was an incredible musical and dance talent, probably the best by far of his generation and beyond, but with obviouse insecurities.
