Sorry Paul, you did it all wrong in my eyes, you shouldve rode out your career for a while yet at Hull and then gone on and played for your boyhood heroes and nobody wouldve begrudged you for doing that. Instead, all its done is stoke the fire and all the ill feeling between the two clubs (probably irrepairable) by being easliy led by arrogant individuals who clearly, have'nt had your best interests at heart.

An on fire Paul Cooke will always get you there or thereabouts to a win in a game of footy.

Do us a favour, point me in the direction of the rules broken by Rovers.

tbh I think only Cooke was found guilty of an illegal approach.

Arguably rovers should have reported said illegal approach to the RFL but I'm not sure they were ever charged with anything.

Does Rovers style of play actually suit Cooke. At Hull he became The Man through which all our creativity started, whereas with Rovers, it starts with Dobso. Cooke appears to be more of a peripheral player, being played for being played sake than actually adding to your teams dynamic. The other question is where are you going to play Danny Brough if it's true that he's coming to you? He's not a stand off, that'll be I'Anson or Webster? Fisher seems to be playing well at Hooker, so where does that leave him to play?

We all know Cooke was brought to the club by Hudgell and not with Morgan's support as a massive coup over Hull FC. However, he has been on a hiding to nothing since, especially when it came to dealing with the 'aussie mafia' at the club! Don't forget, it wasn't just about the money, Cooke chose his path to Hull KR knowing full well it would be a life long decision to leave Hull FC the way he did. Look at Gary Schofield - 25 years on and he still gets grief when he's in West Hull!

Rugby is fickle, as are some supporters, but he and his family didn't deserve the treatment he got for a while afterwards, it's only a game for God's sake!

Clubs have to maintain monthly records, but don't need to submit them unless asked for by the RFL (on a "by exception" basis). They only need to make 2 formal reports each salary cap year on 30th June and 30th December.

Could not agree more Ian - The Cooke saga created a Hate-fest like I have never seen before - players have always crossed over between Hull and Rovers but this one - I hope we never see again. By the way I totally blame the young man in question and hope that he can finish his career now in the West Riding.

If he'd have signed for HKR at the end of his contract with Hull, then noone would have begrudged him the move, but the way him and his father conducted themselves was the problem, and where did it get them?? and i would imagine hes on a lot less at Wakey than he was on at FC or KR! your better off without him

Judging by the amount of people who appear to have absolute knowledge of Paul Cooke's inner thoughts, desires and motivations, the best career path would appear to be for him to retire from Rugby Football League and start some sort of cult and then tithe it's members.
